YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED
FAQs
At Hands-On Creation, we understand that you may have questions about our programs and services. Below are the most frequently asked questions to help you navigate your journey with us.
What programs do you offer?
Hands-On Creation offers a variety of hands-on science programs designed for Christian homeschool students at different levels. Our offerings include middle school and high school lab courses, such as General Science, Physical Science, and Chemistry, as well as upper elementary classes like Human Anatomy & Physiology. We also provide our Science Lending Program, which equips families with textbooks, lab notebooks, and essential materials for the school year, making hands-on science more accessible and affordable. Programs are offered through local homeschool co-ops, including CHET (Princeton) and FOG (Chelmsford), and are designed to complement students’ work at home while providing meaningful, in-person lab experiences.
Who conducts the classes?
Classes are led by experienced facilitators under the direction of Hands-On Creation. Our program is founded and directed by a scientist with a background in biology and neuropathology, ensuring that students receive high-quality, academically sound instruction. Facilitators guide students through hands-on experiments and discussions in a structured, engaging environment, while maintaining a Christ-centered approach to science education.
How can I enroll my child?
Enrollment in Hands-On Creation programs is completed through the homeschool co-op where classes are offered. Families can register during each co-op’s enrollment period and select the desired science class. Families may also participate in our Science Lending Program independently, without enrolling in in-person classes. This option allows students to receive textbooks, lab notebooks, and essential materials to complete experiments at home. For programs that include the Science Lending Program, a separate registration is required to reserve materials and equipment for the school year. Spaces are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information about current offerings and enrollment details, families are encouraged to contact us directly or follow our updates for registration announcements.
Do students need to use a specific curriculum?
Hands-On Creation primarily aligns its lab activities with Apologia Science, a rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum from Apologia Educational Ministries that integrates a strong biblical worldview. The textbooks and lab notebooks available through our Science Lending Program and for purchase are from Apologia, allowing students to follow a structured and consistent approach to science while engaging in meaningful, hands-on experiments. We use Apologia because it combines academic rigor with a Christ-centered perspective, encourages independent learning, and prepares students for higher-level science courses. Students complete their reading, assignments, and tests at home using their chosen curriculum, while our in-person sessions focus on hands-on laboratory experiments that reinforce what they are learning. We also welcome students using other curricula such as Berean Builders, BJU Press, Abeka, MasterBooks, and Novare, as our labs are designed to support a variety of homeschool science programs.
